Breach of contract leads to lawsuits after project called off

Creating a contract for employment is very important when companies begin on a project. However, contract disputes can easily arise when one or both parties do not follow the guidelines set forth in their agreements. When a breach of contract occurs, a vast amount of money and time could be lost, and companies may wish to pursue legal action in order to gain some sort of compensation for the defunct agreement.

Business litigation at Dell, Inc. over buy back heats up

The man for whom Dell, Inc. is named is trying to buy back the company that bears his name. In response, the shareholder with the second highest amount of shares in Dell, Inc. with 8.9 percent of the stock has filed business litigation to stop the buy back. The shareholders say that the deal isn't fair to shareholders and the board ought to be replaced.

When a company creates a successful business model it usually wants to duplicate this success in order to multiply its profit margin. One way to do this is to begin franchising its business model in order to expand the brand's market. Restaurants are an example of a commonly franchised business type in Georgia. However, it is important for all parties to fulfill the terms of the franchise agreements in order to avoid the need for litigation.

Mergers and acquisitions can benefit Georgia colleges

As the economy has caused college tuition to rise, many private college and universities have suffered from low enrollment and have been forced to decrease their class offerings and eliminate faculty and staff. In some cases, mergers and acquisitions with other universities have allowed struggling academic institutions to expand and offer more to their students. A private university in Georgia recently merged with an out-of-state college, and both schools expect to benefit from the transaction.
