While the recent election season was going on, many entrepreneurs were cautious about making any significant moves. However, now that the election is over, some people are reporting that more entrepreneurs are making the jump to start up their new businesses. A popular business opportunity that seems to be attracting entrepreneurs is franchise agreements. One entrepreneur from Georgia is now working toward attracting more entrepreneurs to open franchises of his fitness company.
The fitness company, called Workout Anytime, already has many locations nationwide; however, the company is currently focusing on the Georgia market. The company now has approximately 50 stores that are currently operating or are in a development phase. Workout Anytime plans to reach 100 units within a short period of time.
The company prefers shopping centers that are based around a large supermarket. This type of location significantly increases the amount of foot traffic for a franchise location. The company’s vice president of franchise development says that most potential franchisees will usually end up opening a restaurant. However, he says entrepreneurs are highly attracted to Workout Anytime’s business model due to its simplicity of operation.
Opening a franchise in Georgia of any kind involves a variety of legal decisions to be made. Some of these decisions include ensuring proper compliance to applicable laws and regulations specific to the type of business. Also, deciding on how the business ownership will be structured can be critical, especially when there are multiple owners. Therefore, carefully looking over the business plan will be key prior to actually opening up a new franchise.
