Entrepreneurs build successful companies with positive employees

An upbeat and cheerful person can increase one's optimism by 11 percent. However, a negative person doubles the likelihood that others will become unhappy, according to one study. The same may be said for one's business. While every job may require working with a variety of personalities, entrepreneurs in Georgia may need to be especially careful about the people who are invited into their businesses.

Some people may distract a new business owner from his or her purpose. This may be done by trying to convince an entrepreneur to overlook the reputation of the company or its product and focus on an inflated, insincere image. A person with a dynamic yet unfocused personality may also distract a business person with ideas for greater gain that may be impractical or unethical. Employees who are centered on their own drama or perceived misfortune will steal attention for themselves that should be going to growing the business.

Negativity comes in many forms in the workplace. The most obvious is the hater. People who insist on building their own reputations by tearing other people down may cause tension in a new company. Similarly, someone who takes pleasure in reminding people of their mistakes may stagnate an entrepreneur's drive for success. Failure in one business venture often leads to even greater successes, but some people may attempt to discourage a person with reminders of those failures.

One person entrepreneurs may benefit from having on their team is an experienced business law attorney. Finding an attorney in Georgia who will provide outside general counsel means a new business owner will have access to legal advice as needed, instead of keeping legal counsel on retainer. Having access to valuable professional advice may ensure one's business stays on the path to success.
